MY FAVORITE SHOP AT SEATTLE'S URBAN CRAFT UPRISING WINTER 2012 SHOW WAS...

...for the second year in a row, the fabulously irrepressible, uniquely irreverent, and utterly affordable Shower Art! Seattle's Rosalie and Doug Gale have taken a simple idea -- small waterproof collage art pieces backed with suction cups that can be placed in the shower, on a bathroom mirror, etc. -- and infused it with a divine glittery weirdness that delights. Each piece is handmade, and FUNNY.

I have been thinking for AN ENTIRE YEAR about one of their pieces that I wanted to buy last year at Urban Craft Uprising, so I was very stoked to be able to get it this time. This one has proven so popular that they now sell a corresponding t-shirt featuring the rollerskating unicorn!

Where is my unicorn residing now? On my stainless steel fridge, where I cannot hang art from Miss Ten because it is not magnetic. TAKIN' IT OUT OF THE SHOWER AND INTO THE KITCHEN! WHO'S ROLLING NOW, HUH?

The perfect holiday stocking stuffer, last minute Hanukkah gift, or just something you can buy yourself to bring a smile when it's 6:45AM and you have to get up to go to a crappy job and you just cut yourself on the face with your razor and the dog peed in the hall because you didn't let him outside fast enough. BUY SOME TODAY!
