SUNDAY ART ROUNDUP WITH MISS TEN!

A complaint: I spent HOURS today throwing away papers and assorted junk and NOTHING LOOKS ANY BETTER.

What Made It Worthwhile: Coming across more funny art by Miss Ten, found in notebooks, crumpled in corners, and shoved at the bottom of an old backpack.

Please to enjoy!

SIXTEEN STRANGE ITEMS FROM THE KOREAN SUPERMARKET

Out and about today running errands, I once again came across the mysterious "H Mart." Until today, I had no idea exactly what kind of store this was as there was nothing to identify it -- just another large concrete building in a strip mall in a town north of Seattle.

"Hmm,"I said to Miss Ten, "Let's figure this out by GOING IN." She was totally up for it.

"Mom," she said as we got closer to the entrance, "Everyone going in and out of the store is Asian, did you notice that?"

"Hmm," I hmmm-ed. "You seem to be correct!"

Indeed, the H Mart was a Korean supermarket, filled with all kinds of goodies, like an entire wall of kimchee and bag after bag of glassy-eyed dried fish. We love this, and took some photos along the way as we filled a basket full of cool weird stuff to try out at home.

First thing purchased: octopus flavored chips. What I don't understand here is why an octopus needs snorkeling gear.

PHOTOS & SHOW REVIEW: THEE OH SEES, SIC ALPS, & WIMPS, NEPTUNE THEATER, SEATTLE 10/7/12

In contemplating the evening before me last Sunday as I entered the Neptune Theater, you could say I was confident, if not downright smug that it was going to be one damn fine show I was about to experience. I mean, are you kidding me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Thee Oh Sees, Sic Alps, and wimps?? Three great garage-psych-punk bands, with a headliner that is one of the most exciting live bands you can see? ROCK. SOLID. FUN. Plus I love photographing at the Neptune because of all the cool vantage points, the funky old movie house building, and the gorgeous lighting. My confidence was completely rewarded, with each band exceeding even my high expectations.

LADIES, YOU STINK! 1940S HYGIENE ADS FROM "SCREEN ROMANCE" & "MODERN SCREEN"

In perusing some late-'40s-era movie mags I picked up while thrifting last summer, I was very amused and horrified to read these ads for women's hygiene products. I'm sure if I were a young woman during that time (like my mom was), after spending my 15 cents and then reading "Screen Romances" or "Modern Screen," I would've come away knowing more about dashing young B-movie heartthrob Ronald Reagan, how to cut my hair like Ingrid Bergman, and that I just stunk to high heaven from every orifice and this is the cause of all my problems in life and why I need to be ever-vigilant lest I drive away men in droves. Holy crap. Check this shame party out! (Click on the pictures to enlarge)

LADIES, YOUR UNDERARMS STINK

"NO ROTTED DRESSES..." wow! That bad?? Jeez.  Definitely better get some of that awesome Veto. And remember, girls become popular, get flowers and keep a boyfriend if they use Mum!

FOURTEEN GROOVY REAL & FAKE BANDS IN '60s COMMERCIALS

If you were a little kid in the '60s like I was, you may have come to the same conclusion then that I did: EVERYONE IS IN A ROCK BAND. I mean, everyone, because everywhere you looked, there was a BAND -- not just the real bands like the Beatles, etc., but groovy yeahyeahyeah hippie mod combos were on every sitcom, every cartoon show, and in piles of commercials. It's what was happening, baby, and it's what got the attention of the Baby Boomers that were fueling the economy with their teenage dollars. I thought I would grab a few videos of the commercials from the time featuring bands selling some pretty unlikely things.

First up, chick lead singer freaks out over bassist's bad breath. Listerine to the rescue!

I gotta say, Tony the Tiger is not a great drummer, and his band kinda sucks, too. But I do like Frosted Flakes!

The Calvert brothers are singing about Oscar Mayer wieners. I suspect there is still sniggering going on in their native state of Ohio.

The ad agency that made this animation for Beechnut Hot Shots candy knew that if you drew a cartoon with four lads with moppy hair in collarless suits and had them bop around all Fab-ly, that was more than enough to get a Beatlemaniac sales boost.

Beechnut continues on with this one, using Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Never liked them; this didn't help the cause.

Petula Clark shilling for Buick, with the heavy mustachioed sounds of California's Orange Colored Sky.

Stiff Up With People type "band" The Going Thing tries to be hip, but fails spectacularly. Even my grandpa wouldn't like this. He drove an Impala.

This probably-filmed-live inset commercial for ABC-TV's "Shindig!" features pop idol Bobby Sherman a couple of years before he hit the big time playing a stuttering Seattle logger on "Here Come The Brides." Here, Bobby doesn't have to talk at all, just chugs n' frugs like that's all he EVER DOES.

The Monkees had to do loads of commercials, because those boys were SO OWNED. Here's one for the new Nerf Ball, which you can get if you buy a zillion packets of Kool-Aid. Not only did I DO THAT, but I got an AWESOME Nerf tank top and I STILL HAVE IT, HA!

Pedwin Shoes with a very pro rip-off of the Monkees TV show. Rumor has it that this may be the band Every Mother's Son, who had the big pop hit "Come On Down To My Boat." I was too lazy to verify that.

The Turtles had such great hits, and even this jingle for Pepsi has some sweet harmonies. Here's an in-studio look at the recording of the commercial.

The Yellow Payges for...the Yellow Pages. I'm not even sure how many of you reading this will know what the Yellow Pages were.

Hollywood royalty spawns Dino, Desi, & Billy for RC Cola, apparently post-puberty.

And we will end with the best one...even though you can't see them, this is unmistakably the Rolling Stones pitching for Rice Krispies. I would give them ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS if they would sing this live JUST ONCE, NOW. Hey, you never know!

CHARLIE BROWN, MEET JOHN LENNON: "I'M A LOSER" BY VINCE GUARALDI & BOLA SETE (1966)

Today John Lennon would have marked his 72nd birthday. If I try very hard, I can sort of see him as an old man, that same sharp-featured face coming through the haze of imagination, my own filters and perceptions of how I think time would have treated him. But I can't sustain it, and perhaps more truthfully, don't want to. I wish he would have been here, sharing the day with his son Sean, who celebrates the same birthday as his dad...but he's not, and to think about it much is just too sad for me, still.

Yet, a little cosmic kindness was bestowed on me this week, which made my heart just soar. I consider myself to be a pretty knowledgable Beatle fan -- not a SUPERMEGAMEGABEATLEPEOPLE person like some out there, but prettay, prettay good. So it was a real surprise to me on a random YouTube shakedown to discover a cover of my favorite Beatles' song, "I'm A Loser" (which was written by Lennon), done by my favorite jazz musician, pianist Vince Guaraldi, best known for his work on so many of the Peanuts comics TV specials of the '60s and '70s. How could I not have known sooner that this existed? Guaraldi's rendition appeared on the 1966's "Live At El Matador," with guitarist Bola Sete -- long out-of-print, but available on a combo CD here and on iTunes.

Guaraldi's style is instantly recognizable, and as "I'm A Loser" begins one can hear bits and pieces of signature riffs and quirks from so many Peanuts songs -- a little bit of blues bending, honky-tonk roadhouse, and coffeehouse cool, set to a simple bossa-nova beat. When he takes off and improvises on the melody near the end of the song, it flys straight into the sky, the achy melancholy of the song lifted by just the tiniest, shiniest silver linings.

Hearing this makes my day infinitely better. John Lennon and Vince Guaraldi made my whole life better. Enjoy.

MISS TEN ON BLOOMBERG'S SODA BAN

The City of New York recently moved to ban the sale of all supersized sweetened sodas at the movies, restaurants, food carts, and the like. My opinion? Well-intentioned move to try to do something to curb our national obesity problem; will with little argument be overturned in the courts should the soft-drink industry wish to continue in their opposition to the ban. My daughter chose the subject for her weekly Current Events assignment, and did not agree with the Mayor, as you can see. The Coca-Cola Company should hire her to present in court. She'd probably do it for a Sprite.

FIVE BAD COVERS OF "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" (WHITNEY'S VERSION)

Once upon a time, the song "I Will Always Love You" was a quiet and pretty little ballad, written and recorded by country icon Dolly Parton in 1974.

Dolly Parton, "I Will Always Love You" The Porter Wagoner Show, 1974

Then Whitney Houston ruined it by emoting it into the stratosphere, blowing out eardrums and windows, replacing heartfelt musical sentiment with an over-the-top diva-focused performance that was not only completely devoid of any real feeling, but was also OFF-KEY on the choruses (Whitney habitually sang sharp). It's total bombast -- hardly a love song, unless you like your sig other to scream in your face. My initial reaction to hearing it was to howl piteously, like when a dog hears a siren.

Whitney Houston, "I Will Always Love You"

So now everyone know this song only from Whitney's version, and we are forever tortured by would-be Whitney/Celine hopefuls who think yelling like a goat on fire = good. Today, I thought I would bring you some of the worst of the weird Whitney-ized cover versions I could find, except not that one of the gross little girl screeching at herself and swearing. That little nightmare isn't getting any further YouTube hits from me, HA HA. Anyway, please to enjoy...somehow!

Sometimes, you don't need to sing a word to equal Whitney's level of ridiculous. Observe this metal guitar version. NICE DRUMS, jeez. ROLLEYES ROLLEYES ROLLEYES.

This woman has the most annoying habit of making a bizarre throat/breath catch after each phrase, like "I will always love yoooo, HHHUHCCHH." She also makes a lot of dramatic faces. Last note sounds like a slide whistle.

OH BOY! Here is a karaoke patron who apparently comes in and sings this song every week. NEVER EVER STOP, DEAR! EVER! WOW!

I think this is a guy at a school talent show. This is very weird. Very weird.

Last one goes to...ladies and gentlemen, Whitney Houston. I hope the promoter offered a refund.

IPHONE PHOTO ROUNDUP: DIP DYE DAY

A timeline...

First child, on his 10th birthday, 2001: "Mom, can I spend my birthday money?"

Me: "You have to put half of it in a savings account, and the other half has to be something useful or educational."

Second child, on his 10th birthday, 2008: "Mom, can I buy a videogame with my birthday money?"

Me: "Well...okaaaay, but it can't be violent or stupid."

Third child, on her 10th birthday, 2012: "Mom, can I spend my birthday money on getting my hair dip dyed?"

Me: "What? Oh, yeah, sure, go for it!"

So today, Arty Fashion Girl Miss Ten and I went to see my lovely and talented hair stylist Britney H. at Salon Tewl in Bellevue, WA. to get our hairs all dones -- me, my standard hot red and blonde, and Miss Ten, a blue/purple tie dye fade out at the ends of her hair. Of course, she had never been in a salon to get her hair dyed before, so she was both excited and nervous.

Mama goes first. Miss Ten waits patiently.

WHAT A SHAME

Off to the suburban TJ Maxx again today to pick up family fall clothing, a task I like. I sorted through the racks of fluffy sweaters and wool jackets and warm pajamas and listened to the crappy canned music, thinking pleasantly about moto-boots and schoolboy caps. I pushed my cart to another aisle, and noticed an older woman -- in her late 60s, I'd say, a plain, normal not-insane Grandma-type-- leave the section abruptly. She spoke, although to no one in particular, in a huffy, pointed voice.

"That's not my size!"

Her utterance got my attention, and I glanced up at her and happened to catch her looking straight at my face. She immediately looked down and away, nervous. As she walked past me, she spoke again, this time mumbled, head down.

"All way too big for me."

My first thought was, "Well, hey, thanks for telling us, hon," along with a massive rolleyes, but then I realized what had happened, for this was not the first time I had seen it, not the first time at all.

Did you know that some women are too embarrassed to have anyone else see what size clothing they wear? And that they will either order clothes online or try to shop when there aren't so many people around or will quickly move over to a size or two lower if someone comes close, a size they couldn't get on with a crowbar and a vat of Vaseline? And that they will load their cart with the correct size, but put smaller sizes over the bigger ones so they can keep shopping without others "judging their cart?" And that this behavior is in NO WAY limited to the obese, but to women of all sizes and ages and income ranges?

Did you know that? And did you know that by making the average Size 6 now fit like the average Size 14 used to fit be 50 years ago, you can sell more clothes to an aging, increasingly-overweight female population who have concurrently been told for those last 50 years that "you can never be too rich or too thin?"

I stood for a moment and thought. Here is a woman who has lived a very long time, has probably many accomplishments to her credit, and still is soaked in enough shame about her looks to be compelled to tell strangers at a discount store that she really isn't that fat at all.

And right then, a small boy about three years old popped his freckled face through the rack of jeans I was looking at, beaming at me with a mischievous little grin. Like so many bored little kids do at these stores, he was playing hide-and-seek in the clothing racks, along with his sister, who was about four years old. I smiled back at him. And then his mother, behind me, began.

"TANNER! DIDN'T I TELL YOU NOT TO DO THAT? PEOPLE ARE SHOPPING HERE, YOU ARE RUINING IT FOR THEM! YOU ARE SO STUPID!"

I whipped my head around to see her -- a sour-faced women with long brown hair in her late 20s. My jaw dropped and I gave her the holy HELL stinkeye, but she wasn't looking at me at all.

"GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW OR YOU ARE GOING TO BE SO SORRY!"

Tanner looked up at me, his smile now replaced with a dull, blank stare.

My blood was boiling. OK, OK...maybe she just snapped for a second. Maybe she had the worst day ever.

Maybe not, as she kept up the shame-talk to her kids the entire time. She said not one positive thing to either of them, not ONE. She talked to them like an immature, bitter, selfish, overburdened, ignorant wretch, demeaning them for the smallest of things, that ANY preschoolers would do, normal kid behavior and NOTHING out of line at all.

She took them both with her into the changing room at the same time I was in there, sequestered in my own changing room. She dropped her sunglasses on the floor with a clatter.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? PICK THEM UP! KAYLA, YOU ARE SO SLOW!"

And where I nearly truly really lost it 100% and was ready to bolt out and slam her goddamn head against the wall was when she spoke again, in a quieter voice this time.

"You stupid little motherfuckers. Your dad better be picking you up on time today."

I wanted to scream at her through the door. My head was swimming. I was so angry I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to handle her without just exploding. Think! Think! What is the right thing to do? What can anyone do?

Was my smashing her to bits or calling her out going to change her? No. She wasn't ashamed of herself, and wasn't going to be made so from some bitch at TJ Maxx. Would it have frightened and shamed her children even more if I angrily confronted their mom? Yes, without a doubt. Would a sympathetic, kindly "do you need any help?" tone have worked? I doubted it, and thought it would instantly escalate in a bad way.

They left the changing room, and I breathed until I was calmed enough to continue doing, well, anything at all.

As I was getting ready to leave the store, I saw the boy again, lagging far behind his sister and mother,  close to me. He stopped to look at a Halloween costume on a rack near the front. It was of a ghost.

Fuck it, I thought, and I left my purchases in the cart and turned back, and walked towards him. I kneeled down to his level. He looked at me, and I looked him in the eye.

"Tanner? You are a good boy." I smiled at him, and he beamed.

I rose, turned and walked back to my cart, pushed it through the parking lot, opened my car and unloaded the bags, rolled the cart back to the front of the store, walked back to the car, sat down in the driver's seat, and cried.

HOW TO DESCRIBE SNOT TO YOUR DOCTOR (OR ANYONE)

Ah, here we have another lovely autumn upon us...which also means the beginning of the dreaded cold and flu season. Already many of you are suffering from the first of what will be the 2-4 colds the average adult gets per year. You are hot, then cold, your body aches, you are spewing sneeze juice everywhere and coughing up a lung, and have some kind of awful nasal mucus issue. It is the latter symptom that I would like to focus my attention upon today: the wonderful world of snot.

How amazing is snot, huh? It can keep coming and coming and coming and coming out of your face for weeks on end, emanating from an endless magical goo pool. You can take medicines to slow it down, but it always returns. I feel like we really haven't defined snot as well as we could, as it is not only a copious fluid, but a varied one as well. I'd like to give snot a shot.

SNOT: Of a medium-stretchy plasma-like consistency and texture, and a mix of clear, white, yellow, and green wastes. Productive; fills tissue upon blowing. Bubbly sound: "SSSssssNNNnnoTT."

SNAT: The dry, hardened tiny yellow bits of nasal waste, common at the end of a cold and produced in over-heated, low-humidity air. Upon forceful nasal expulsion, makes sharp, slapping sound, "SNAT! SNAT!" into tissue.

SNAY: Loose clear or white wastes that stream copiously from the nose, with little or no effort: "SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY."

SNIFF-SNAY: SNAY that is so uncontrollable that you are in a constant battle for waste containment: "SNIFF! - SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAY-SNIFF! - SNAAAY-SNIFF!-SNIFF! - SNAAAAAAAYYY."

SNIH: How ladies try to contain SNAY in public: "snih...snaaaaaaaay...snih snih snih snih."

SNNN: Heavy, congealed dark yellow or chartreuse green wastes that are unproductive and lodged within the sinuses. Upon great and repeated effort to expel the wastes, the only sound made is, "SNNNNNNNNNN."

SNORK: The loud, snore-like sound of sniffing back SNOT or SNNN, sending it into the throat: "SnnnnnnNORKKK!"

I think that should cover it, and I hope you will go ahead and print this out as a handy medical guide to use at the doctor's office or when consulting your pharmacist. Good day, and good snatting to you!

WHY VIEWING MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS' "SAME LOVE" IS IMPORTANT

A universal truth: music has the power to change and enrich hearts and minds like nothing else. Music reaches us in a deeper way than words or pictures; it fills an emotional need that feeds and sustains us as surely as the food we eat and the air we breathe. It is enjoyed and cherished even by the deaf in its felt rhythms and lyrical expressiveness, by babies who smile and wave their arms and legs in delight, by those lost to Alzheimer's who can communicate in no other way. I have been so fortunate to have experienced a music-rich life, and to have seen for myself countless times the profound difference even a single piece of music can make in a person's life. It is a kind of magic.

Today, I have something important to share with you, and I ask that you take a few minutes to set aside any expectations you may have and just watch and listen to the new video of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Same Love." The lyrics are below.

When I was in the third grade I thought I was gay
‘Cause I could draw, an’ my uncle was, and I kept my room straight
I told my mom tears rushing down my face
She’s like “Ben you've loved girls since before pre-k shrimp”
Yea I guess she had a point didn’t she?
Bunch of stereotypes all in my head.
I remember doing the math like, “yea I’m good at little league”
A preconceived idea of what it all meant
For those that liked the same sex
Had the characteristics
The right wing conservatives think it’s a decision
And you can be cured with some treatment and religion
Man made rewiring of a predisposition
Playing god, aw nah here we go
America the brave still fears what we don’t know
And god loves all his children, is somehow forgotten
But we paraphrase a book written thirty-five-hundred years ago
I don’t know

And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
I’m acting strange
Even if I try
Even if I wanted to
My love
My love
My love
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm

If I was gay, I would think hip-hop hates me
Have you read the YouTube comments lately
"Man, that’s gay" get dropped on the daily
We become so numb to what we’re saying
A culture founded from oppression
Yet we don’t have acceptance for ‘em
Call each other faggots behind the keys of a message board
A word rooted in hate, yet our genre still ignores it
A gay is synonymous with the lesser
It’s the same hate that’s caused wars from religion
Gender to skin color, the complexion of your pigment
The same fight that led people to walk outs and sit ins
It’s human rights for everybody, there is no difference!
Live on and be yourself
When I was at church they taught me something else
If you preach hate at the service those words aren’t anointed
That holy water that you soak in has been poisoned
When everyone else is more comfortable remaining voiceless
Rather than fighting for humans that have had their rights stolen
I might not be the same, but that’s not important
No freedom till we’re equal, damn right I support it

And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
My love
My love
My love
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm

And press play, don’t press pause
Progress, march on
With the veil over our eyes
We turn the back on the cause
Till the day that my uncles can be united by law
When kids are walking ‘round the hallway plagued by pain in their heart
A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are
And a certificate on paper isn’t gonna solve it all
But it’s a damn good place to start
No law is gonna change us
We have to change us
Whatever god we believe in
We come from the same one
Strip away the fear
Underneath it’s all the same love
About time we raised up

And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
I’m acting strange
Even if I try
Even if I wanted to
My love
My love
My love
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love is patient
Love is kind
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is patient
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is kind
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is patient
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is kind
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is patient
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is kind
(I‘m not crying on Sundays)
Love is patient
Love is kind

As in other historic battles for equality, full protection of the law, and human dignity in America, there are many, many voices out there -- strong, strident, and filled with righteous fervor -- who feel that discrimination based on sexual orientation is not only a good thing, but necessary. The same people said the same things about women, and blacks, and immigrants, and those of differing religious beliefs. We are never going to have a country where we are all on the same page. But when you have such hatred spewed towards a large group of people who are asking for such a simple, small thing -- to be able to marry and access the same legal rights as others do -- we as Americans need to step back, think, and examine our hearts, every single one of us. What do you gain in denying this right to others? Who told you this is right? How does it make you feel to hurt someone else in order for you to feel superior? How do you justify "rights for people like me, but not for 'you people'?"

From an unlikely source -- hip-hop artists -- comes "Same Love," which breaks things down to the core of this issue.

Gay is not a choice.
Gay is not abnormal.
Gay is not an excuse for hatred against anyone.
Gay is not an excuse for discrimination.
Gay and straight people are infinitely more the same than different.
And love is to be honored and welcomed with open arms, in a world that needs it so.

Many of us will be voting this November on the issue of gay marriage, and I hope that no matter your background, you will stand in support of our fellow LGBT United States citizens who need your help now. Thank you, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and all those involved in the production of "Same Love" for doing a very, very important and good thing.

FIVE OF THE BIGGEST D-BAGS IN ROCK & THE SONGS I'D FORCE THEM TO SING

One of the very curious things about artistic celebrity is that we the public, if we really like an artist's work, tend to give him or her extra positive attributes, like the qualities of intelligence, kindness, generosity, humility, etc. If we admire people for one thing, it's natural we want to assume that they are "good folks" all around. Well, of course, that ain't always the case. Sometimes the rock star who wrote that sensitive ballad you played at your wedding is actually in real life a tremendous douchebag. A massive jerkoff. A ginormous tool. We can still love these artists for their music, but pity the people who have to deal with them daily, especially their housekeepers, lawyers, and long-suffering family members.

Today I am selecting ten of the biggest jackholes in rock, telling you why I think they are jackholes, and am hand-selecting the song I would force each one to sing if I had the ability to commandeer such a musical event. Maybe this could turn into a festival. Save your rotten vegetables!

GENE SIMMONS

Why he is a douchebag: Would sell his mother's panties to KISS fans if it made him enough profit. Horrifying braggart. Proud user of women. Terrible hair. Worse music. Romney 2012 voter.

TED NUGENT

Why he is a douchebag: Maniac, gun-hoarding, paranoid, far-right loose cannon. Pals with Law Enforcement Douchebag Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona. Useless to humanity immediately after recording "Journey To The Center Of The Mind." Ugly facial hair.

Song I Would Force Him To Sing: 311, "Guns (Are For Pussies)"

MORRISSEY

Why he is a douchebag: Absolutely insufferable pretentious bitter whiny miserable windbag. Can't write or sing a melody over five successive notes in the same scale. Ragged on the Ramones. Couldn't handle a water bottle hit to the noggin without throwing a walk-out hissy fit. Not as bright as he is certain he is.

Song I Would Force Him To Sing: Jimmy Buffett, "Cheeseburger In Paradise"

TIE: MADONNA & COURTNEY LOVE

Why they are douchebags: Cannot sing at all. Claim to be feminists, yet grossly used sex and sexuality to climb the ladder every step of the way. Rotten mothers. Fake accents. Plastic surgery junkies. Intensely unlikable.

Song I Would Make Them Duet On: Rolling Stones, "Stupid Girl"

VINCE NEIL

Why he is a douchebag: Terrible human being on every level. Got drunk, drove, killed his friend and brain-damaged two other folks. Assaulted a hooker. Kept getting caught for drinking and driving. Assaulted ex-girlfriend. Called his latest album "Tattoos & Tequila." You don't need more, do you?
