It's time for more wonders from wanders to local thrift incubators and antique muskholes! My cellular communication device and I bring these curiosities to you free of charge, although if I had been charging for this service over the last 10 years, perhaps I would be wealthy enough to buy all these things and have my own Vintage Gawkery. Click on each photo to enlarge and please to enjoy!

OH YES, it's that time again when I share with you the strange old crap I find on my thrift excursions! As long as there are people, there will be these things, and as long as there is me, I will keep showing them to you. Click on the photos to enlarge, and please to enjoy!

Surely this children's activity must've coincided with the popular TV appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show of Señor Wences, but honestly. "hours of play and fun?" We weren't THAT bored.

CURIOUS FACIAL EXPRESSION CATEGORIES OF THRIFT STORE TOYS, ART, AND KNICK-KNACKS

As a regular stalker of thrift shops for the unusual and amusing, I have come to a conclusion: the expressions on many, if not most, animal, human, or inanimate object vintage knick-knacks, toys, and mass-market art are straight-up bizarre. I am fascinated by the original intent from whatever labor slave created them in some sad factory line...did they mean for them to look that way, or were they unskilled in facial representation art, or unaware or...? I don't know. I do know these make me laugh. I've grouped a few for you from my latest forays here in Washington State. Please to enjoy!

1. ANGRY

Grey cat is not having it from the Siamese. Not at all.

30 YES 30 MORE WEIRD RECORD COVERS FROM THE THRIFT STORES!

It's been a few months since I've done one of these posts, mined from my frequent visits to thrift stores in Washington State and South Florida. You'd think there just wouldn't be any more funny to find, BUT NO! IT NEVER ENDS. Please to enjoy!

EVERYTHING. The disembodied head floating in darkness, the look of stunned horror, the scary cross overlay, the bizarre mix of capital and lower case letters, and "Stereo Phonic Sound."

MEGA THRIFT WEIRDNESS! 24 VINTAGE VINYL ODDITIES & OTHER CRAP FROM VALUE VILLAGE AND GOODWILL!

Well, it's a drippy, gloomy early December Saturday here in the Pacific Northwest. I should be donning raingear to schlep myself out to do Christmas shopping but GUESS WHAT? LET SANTA HANDLE THAT HORSE HOCKEY, I GOTS THRIFT STORE FUNNIES TO SHARE WITH YOU! Please to enjoy things that caused me to smile in public.

Ladies and gentlemen...introducing Dave Boyer and his embedded twin brother, Leechy!

12 MORE WEIRD RECORD COVERS & KNICK KNACKS FROM THE THRIFT STORE!

I like to think of my forays into the dust and must of the thrift stores as cultural archaeology. I would also like to think, if I were sufficiently motivated and waved handfuls of cash around, that I could convince a credible university to let me design a master's degree program in American Thrift Store Studies. Other than taking on the crippling debt, it would almost be worth doing. But for today, here's some more old crap. Please to enjoy!

No, there's nothing creepy about this skull-bisected cookie jar clown. WAIT A MINUTE, YES THERE IS!! AIEEE!

23 PECULIAR RECORD COVERS & KNICK-KNACKS FROM THE VALUE VILLAGE THRIFT STORE!

Yesterday, I invested some time into watching a documentary about salt mining. There are people who devote their entire lives to harvesting salt from the earth, sometimes at great personal risk, so that you may enjoy a flavorful Dorito. Me, I spent my time harvesting weird images from the bowels of the thrift store, so that you may enjoy an element of surprise and/or joy in your day. I await patiently for my own documentary. Until then, please to enjoy these latest finds!!

Keeper? GUESS NOT.

28 WEIRD RECORD COVERS FROM WI. & WA. THRIFT STORES!

HOOOO-EEEE, PEOPLE! Here's a MEGAPOST of more oddball album covers from the dense riches found at several thrift stores in Wisconsin and Washington. Dense...and smelly. Really rather smelly. Please to enjoy!

I believe that after the bunny read the children a story, he ate them all.

15 CURIOUS ITEMS FROM WISCONSIN THRIFT AND ANTIQUE STORES!

I do apologize for the lack of posts here recently, but I've been in Wisconsin on our annual summer vacation having entirely a lot of fun eating cheese and such. However, I did fit in a few vintage shopping trips, and as always have found some choice items to share with you. Please to enjoy, you betcha!

I strongly considered buying this and giving it to a sworn enemy or myself. Gobble, gobble, one of us!

26 MORE WEIRD RECORD COVERS & KNICK-KNACKS FROM GOODWILL AND VALUE VILLAGE!

HEY, GUYS! GUYS! There's a brand-new Goodwill only a couple of miles from my house! Do you think the staff there will get to know the oddball mom with the goofy hair who pulls out her iPhone to take photos of weird dusty crap??? OH, I THINK SO! Let's continue with my rapidly-accelerating ascent into elder-quirkiness with these discarded albums and home decor items, shall we?

Here's the real beauty of this item: if I walked into a bathroom with this horror staring back at me, there would be no problem with me not hanging up the towel, for I would back out slowly and never use the bathroom nor the towel in the first place.

21 MORE WEIRD RECORD COVERS AND KNICK-KNACKS FROM THE VALUE VILLAGE THRIFT STORE!

I'm kind of a collector of stuff, but I gotta tell ya...when I go on my thrift store runs and see the monumental amounts of one-cherished crapola that people have dumped from their homes, it makes me want to return to my home, clear it all out, and live a streamlined, non-cluttered life. HA! Like that will happen! Anyway, look at this bunch of crapola and please to enjoy!

I am sincerely not at all sure what this is. A turkey? A penguin? A bear? Why does it have breasts? HELP.
