This song from the upcoming "Halcyon Digest" album by Deerhunter has been getting mighty play in my house the last week or so; catchy and strange, retro and totally modern. I woke up yesterday thinking the Twist was the perfect dance for it, and so I made it so, courtesy old home movie footage floating out there in YouTubeLand and kind tech help. Cute, ain't it?
"Halcyon Digest" is currently streaming in full at NPR.org, and you should buy it when it is officially released on September 28, 2010. For now, I dare you not to Twist along.
